Imphal, March 18 2021: Zomi Reunification Organisation/Zomi Revolutionary Army (ZRO/ZRA) in a statement clarified that ZRA has no designated camp at Chothe village in Bishnupur district.

The statement alleged that the inmates lodged at Chothe Surrenderee camp under Aikhenthang @ Calvin H, (former vice president of ZRO/ ZRA) were dubbed as 'Calvin individual cadres' .

Calvin H was terminated from ZRO/ZRA in November, 2018 for his coup attempt and anti organisation activities and since then has no connection with ZRO/ZRA, added the statement.

Informing about the incident on March 16 at Chothe Surrenderee Camp wherein Lianchinkhup alias Boipu Haokip stabbed to death T Tongminthang and grievously wounded Robert, ZRO/ZRA stated that the above individuals were never cadres of the organisation but hired by Calvin H as paid volunteers.

The organisation strongly condemned the incident and urged the State Government to intervene at the earliest to avoid similar incidents in future.
