Imphal, January 18 2022: Judicial Magistrate Moreh today remanded murder accused Md Jiaulhaque to judicial custody till February 1 .

The murder accused Md Jiaulhaque @Rohit s/o (L) Md.Jiyaoddin of Muslim Basti Moreh was produced before the Court by a team of Moreh Police after the completion of police custody remand.

The Court on perusal of the case record and hearing the submission of the IO of the case remanded him to judicial custody.

It may be noted that the accused was on large from the night of January night 7 after he allegedly shot dead Raj Gazmir 22 s/o Khenuprasad Gazmir of Moreh Ward Number 8 and injured Md Mubarak 27 s/o Md Tomba of Sekmaijin on the same day at Moreh Ward number 5 Muslim Nagar.

Later the accused was arrested on January 9 from an under construction site at Phaicham Veng along with arms and ammunition used in the crime by a team of Moreh Commando and Moreh police after conducting a massive search operation.
