Imphal, October 16 2012:
Rajya Sabha MP and veteran political leader Rishang Keishing has expressed serious concern over the ever rising level of violence in Manipuri society.
Triggering bomb blasts, wielding AK rifles, smuggling drugs, robbery and killings cannot be any crusade desired by the Almighty, Rishang Keishing stated.
Love, compassion and cordiality among mankind is the will of god.
The veteran MP who was also the Chief Minister of Manipur several times was speaking at the foundation stone laying function of a building for peace and education at Bethel Prayer Mountain of Kholep village, Sadar Hills.
Observing that the word love has become meaningless in both the hills and valley of Manipur, Rishang Keishing highlighted the virtue of loving fellow mankind.
Only when there is love, there can be forgiveness, fortitude and sacrifice.
"People have lost the sense of what they are.
If people know and love each other, peace and tranquillity can be a reality in Manipur", Rishang Keishing stated.
IFCD Minister Ngamthang Haokip remarked that developing a common place of worship is a commendable step.
Parliamentary Secretary Victor Keishing was also present at the function.
