In Senapati, the Day was celebrated at Sanyi Dahrii Sport Complex, Khabung Karong, Senapati.

DC Senapati Mamoni Doley, IAS hoisted the National flag and took the salutes from the parade contingents.

The DC stated that it is the fundamental duty of every citizen to promote harmony and take up responsibility for building a vibrant future.



Tengnoupal

Assam Rifles orchestrated a spectacular celebration of India's 77th Independence Day across various locations in Tengnoupal District.

The event successfully brought together armed forces, school students, and local communities in a display of unity and national pride, said a statement by the Assam Rifles.

At Kwatha Village, a stirring flag hoisting ceremony marked the beginning of the celebrations.

The Tengnoupal Headquarters organized a unique program centered around the theme 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' (My Soil, My Country).

National Flags were distributed not only in Village Tengnoupal but also in neighboring villages on August 15 .

The Day was also commemorated at the District Headquarters of Tengnoupal.

The presence of the DC Tengnoupal, Assam Rifles troops and Village Heads from neighbouring villages enhanced the significance of the event.
