Imphal, December 01 2015: Routledge (Taylor & Francis) has officially published the global edition of 'Democratisation of Myanmar' on December 7,2015.The book has been simultaneously published in the United States of America, the United Kingdom and Australia.

According to the publisher, this book will be of "great interest to scholars and researchers of Asian and Southeast Asian Studies, politics and political processes, democratization process and democratic transitions, international relations, peace and conflict studies, especially those concerned with Myanmar" .

The author, Nehginpao Kipgen, is a Political Scientist and Assistant Professor at Jindal School of International Affairs, OP Jindal Global University.

Dr Kipgen's general research interests include democratisation, democratic transition, human rights, ethnic conflict, identity politics and foreign policy.

His-academic research focuses on the politics of South Asia and Southeast Asia, especially Myanmar.

He has published peer-reviewed academic articles in many reputed journals and over 100 articles in various leading international newspapers and magazines across the world.

The book is priced at 150 US dollars, but the publisher plans to launch the South Asia edition with a discounted price within 8 weeks from the global publication date.
