World Youth Skill Day celebrated

Imphal, July 15 2024: The 14th Manipur Battalion NCC under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarter Imphal celebrated World Youth Skill Day with dedication and commitment to empower the youth through skill development on Monday by conducting a Seminar cum Workshop.

The event included practical demonstrations focusing on different vocational skills such as career planning and skill development, job opportunities in the tourism and hospitality sector and the charms of the food processing sector, said a release issued by NCC.

Speaking on the occasion, Brig SR Sharma, SM, VSM, Group Commander NCC Group Headquarter Imphal encouraged the cadets to work hard for a successful career and to get maximum benefit from the Seminar cum Workshop.

Colonel N Gojendra, Commanding Officer, 14 Manipur Battalion NCC, mentioned that these activities aimed to not only impart knowledge but also to inspire young cadets to explore new career paths and contribute effectively to society.

Dr Nambram Amulkumar; Dr Irengbam Rubita; and Suchitra Hijam, Faculty Members of the Department of Vocational Training and Skill Development, Manipur University also attended the programme as resource persons.

The event concluded with the NCC song & National Anthem.
