The existing law and order situation of Manipur was studied in a meeting of the Congress Legislature Party held this evening.
The meeting also discussed about ways and measures for reducing the level of graft practices in the State.
Sources informed that the CLP meeting presided by Chief Minister O Ibobi deliberated on maintaining transparency by Ministers.
Quit notice served to Meiteis in Churachandpur district and the attack on MLA MK Preshow Shimray also figured prominently in the CLP meeting.
CLP members put up a proposal to increase the amount for MLA Local Area Development Fund.
But the proposal was turned down by the Chief Minister citing not so healthy financial condition of the State.
