Imphal, March 14 2016: The GPRN/NSCN, Khurmi Region has condemned the conduct of Minister Okendro Singh while implementing the tourist destination project at Sharkuchang range which is under the jurisdiction of Khulsabung village.

The original spot for the tourist destination project was Isin Thingbi lake.

Implementing the project at Sharkuchang with- out the consent of the village authority concerned is condemnable.

Minister Okendro Singh should halt the con- struction work and immediately shift the construction at the original spot, said GPRN/NSCN, Khurmi Region in a state- ment.

GPRN is not against any developmental project.

However, initiating State Government's project without consulting the stakeholders is not a commendable step, it said.

In case the appeal put forth is not addressed, Minister Okendro would be held responsible for any unwanted incident, the statement warned.
