Imphal, March 14 2015 : Reacting to the statement of the NSCN (IM) which appeared on local dailies on March 10, the underground Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) dismissed the accusations against the front by NSCN (IM) as baseless and said they are made out of jealousy, since the Front stands out to safeguard and champions the demand for Zeliangrong Statehood.

Strongly refuting the allegations, the ZUF in a statement issued by its information and publicity secretary, L Longmei, said that the whole Nagas, Indians and all people across the globe know the manner in which NSCN (IM) propagated their ideology.

However, the people supported the Nagas freedom struggle which the NSCN (IM) has tried to settle within the framework of the Indian Constitution and alternative arrangement, it said.

Telling the NSCN-IM to stop their blame game, the ZUF statement said that the lists of brutalities and crimes committed by the IM would be endless if the public is asked to make a list of them.

Although there are many other armed factions operating in Nagaland, Assam, Manipur and other Nagas inhabited areas, it is painful to note that the IM is causing mayhem to the Zeliangrongs and kindred tribes, it said.

"Social organizations and the Churches know the sickening works of spoiling the Nagas society through their unscrupulous means," the ZUF statement said while adding that pointing accusing fingers at others without seeing one's faults would be a disaster.
