Awareness camp held

A one-day seminar on Tribal people's access to public healthcare services and health awareness camp was held today at Gangluan Part-IV (Pinjang) under Noney district, as part of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas.
The programme is organized by the Tribal Research Institute, TA & H, Manipur aiming to promote health awareness and education among the tribal community.
The awareness camp was attended by Smt Hannah Kamei (IAS), Director TA & H, Dr Shangamlung Kamei, DNO, NTCP, Noney, Dr Lungthaolung Gonmei, MO PHC Khoupum and other healthcare professionals.
Speaking at the occasion, John Gaidingam Dangmei, RO/AO TRI, emphasized the importance of prioritizing health, urging the community to break the habit of neglecting their health.
The CMO, Noney issued a crucial health advisory, cautioning citizens against the dangers of self-medication.
Dr Shangamlung Kamei stressed on the harmful effects of tobacco usage, citing the lack of medical proof supporting its health benefits.
