UNC campaign underway

Imphal, December 13 2012:
The United Naga Council (UNC) has told the gathering at Siangai Namdai under Loktak Project that the world is wondering on the contradictory activities of the state government of Manipur.
As part of its awareness camapaign on the Naga issue, the UNC leaders said the government of Manipur is one government that does not like peace as it opposes the cease fire and in the same time it also opposes the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) .
UNC president L Adani, its general secretary Gaidon Kamei, former UNC president Paul Leo, Tangkhul Naga Long executive member C Remember, UNC speaker Timothy and many other Naga leaders spoke in today's programme.
They said the international organisations are watching and wondering about the move of the Manipur government that did not allow the cease fire in Manipur and also asking for repealing the AFSPA.
Chairmen and other Zeliangrong leaders in the vicinity of Siangai Namdai participated in today's meeting.
The UNC had kick-started its programme
since November 30 .
