KIM urges UNC

Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) has appealed to United Naga Council (UNC) to exempt the delegates of the 20th general assembly from the purview of 48-hour general strike announced by the Naga body.
KIM is convening its 20th General Assembly on December 13 at Kuki Inn, Imphal.
In this regard, KIM also appealed to different civil organizations, NGOs and general public of the State not to call or impose bandh in the State on the day.
A press release of KIM issued by its general secretary, Khaimang Chongloi particularly appealed to UNC, which has already announced their 48-hour general strike in the hill districts of Manipur, to exempt the delegates of the general assembly from the purview of the bandh on humanitarian ground.
KIM further appealed to all the invited delegates to make convenient to participate in the assembly on time positively.
At the same time, the press release also said that ahead of the Assembly session, Chief Secretary Lawmkunga and others who have achieved something for the Kuki people would be feted.
