JSCC strives for better education

The Joint Students Coordination Committee (JSCC), Manipur has urged the people to support fair COHSEM and BOSEM examinations so as to produce bright and disciplined students.
Speaking to media persons at Keishampat, JSCC convenor Moirangthem Lak- shman said that JSCC has been organising inspection drives during the examinations organised by both the Board and the Council.
He pointed out that the organisation carried out drives at 29 Centres across the State yesterday.
The volunteers found some individuals loitering around the campus of CI College Bishnupur Exam Centre and upon further enquiry they revealed themselves as guardians of some of the candidates, he claimed.
He said, "At Bishnupur Higher Secondary School, the volunteers witnessed a noisy examination hall and even the security guards were gambling instead of performing their duties".
The organisation volunteers came across students using unfair means at Advance Intermediate College, a student using mobile phone during exam hours at Galaxy Institute of Science Lilong Centre and also confiscated numerous micro notes from Little Master Higher Secondary School Samurou and Wangoi Higher Secondary School.
He said that the notes and books confiscated from the different examination centres would be handed over to COHSEM, and appealed to the people to support the organisation's work to bring a better education system in the State.
Speaking at the meet, JSCC member Konsam Lucky said that the organisation condemns the announcement by Education Minister Th Radheshyam declining to hold a re-examination of Physics paper which was leaked on April 5 and which created news.
He asked if the Minister had appeared MPSC examination through leaked question papers.
