Devotees throng at Chengei Ching to celebrate Emoinu Iratpa Thouni Thouram

Thoubal, January 11 2025: The Chengei Ching Emoinu Thougal Lup and Utra Sanglen Sana Konung jointly organised Emoinu Iratpa Thouni Thouram at the sacred shrine of Goddess Emoinu located at Waithou Chengei Ching today.

Devotees from different comers of the State thronged at Waithou Chengei Ching to pay obeisance to the Goddess.

The ritualistic celebration was attended by Keisam Raghumani, Yaiskul Lakpa, Utra Sanglen Sana Konung; Wangkhem Ibochou, president, Chengei Ching Emoinu Thougal Lup; secretary Puyam Birmangol, Angom Ningthou Angom Poireiton, custom secretary (Pukhrakba) Thokchom Ibungohal, Laifam Ngakpa Salam Devendra, Justice Samom Ibjen, District and Session Judge Thoubal; Justice Waikhom Tonen Meitei, Judge, Thoubal Family Court and Sarangthem Hemanta, CO, 3rd IRB among others.

On the occasion, the Ekoukhatpa ceremony was held following which a traditional invocation song (Yakairol) was performed.

Then, the Emoinu Iratpa Thouni Thouram proceeded with the participation of the devotees.

The presidium members present at today's celebration also planted tree saplings around Chengei Ching today.

Speaking in this connection, Keisam Raghumani stated that Emoinu Iratpa Thouni Thouram has been held at this sacred site as far as memory serves.

He expressed hope that Goddess Emoinu will bless the people of Manipur with abundance, peace and bountifulness.
