Imphal, December 10 2024: Key market places including Paona Keithel, Thangal Keithel, Khwaraimband Keithel and other shops and establishments were closed on Tuesday as a mega rally was taken out in Imphal against the reimposition of AFSPA today.

Apart from shops and keithels, schools, colleges and oil pumps were also closed for the day while passenger vehicles remained off the road.

Security measures were taken up by Central and State security forces at strategic locations while additional security personnel were stationed in front of Chief Minister's Bungalow and Raj Bhavan.

The rally was organised by All Manipur United Clubs Organisation, Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur, All Manipur Women's Voluntary Association, CoHR, and MSF .
