Imphal, December 10 2017:
Thangmeiband Apunba Nupi Lup (THANIL) has threatened to launch various forms of agitation if the police does not submit an enquiry report against the MLA of Sekmai Assembly Constituency, Heikham Dingo, at the earliest .
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, Waitham Thaibema, secretary of THANIL, said that the BJP MLA of Sekmai A/C had a relation with a girl, Ng Nikki, for more than seven years, during which the MLA promised to marry her and even established sexual relationship with the girl .
But after winning the State General Assembly election, H Dingo declined to marry Nikki due to which she filed a complaint at Imphal West women police station in the month of June.
After the complaint was lodged, the victim's statement was recorded by the Magistrate and an enquiry was carried out by the Police Department regarding the case.
She said that it has been six months since the enquiry was launched but the Police Department has not provided any positive response till date .
THANIL approached the SP and the DGP from time to time and on November 17, the association even submitted a reminder to Chief Minister N Biren Singh to take up necessary action.
The secretary conveyed that if the enquiry report is not submitted and the charge sheet is not filed before the Court against H Dingo, THANIL will launch various forms of agitation .
She also appealed to all the CSOs of the State to extend every possible support to THANIL.
