Seeds distributed at Kholjang village, Kangpokpi

Imphal, November 10 2011: A farmers training programme cum distribution of winter crop seeds was held today at Kholjang village, Kangpokpi sub-division under the aegis of Horticulture and Soil Conservation Deputy Director, Kangpokpi.

The function was attended by ADC Sadar Hills Executive Member Lamkholen Kipgen as chief guest and president of Tuijang Area Chiefs Association Henjang Kipgen as functional president.

Horticulture and Soil Conservation Kangpokpi Deputy Director A Jayantakumar and other officials were also present at the training programme.

During the programme, improved hybrid seeds of onion, bean, cabbage and other vegetables were distributed to farmers.

Later A Jayantakumar educated the farmers on the scientific methods of cultivating winter crops.
