Micro watershed training

Two days district level training programme on "Institution and Capacity Building for Development of Micro Watershed Project in Hills" was organized by the District Officer, Horticulture &Soil Conservation on July 9 and 10, at the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) conference hall.
The development of micro watershed project in the hills under the Watershed Development Project on Shifting Cultivation Area (WPDSCA) a sub-scheme of Rastrya Krishi Vigya Yojna (RKVY) was sponsored by the Department of Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Manipur.
Around 40 participants from of Kabung Khunou, Ngatan, Pumdumlong and Robve Solphe villages attended the two days event.
"The four villages were enlisted for the scheme as other villages were covered by the Integrated Watershed Management Project (IWMP), of the DRDA, as such the scheme could not be overlapped." stated Th Biren Singh DO (H&SC), Senapati, who was the presiding officer during the traijing programme.
The inauguration of the training was attended by Dr N Binabon Singh, DAO, Senapati as the Chief guest.
