Imphal, December 09 2008: According to a new load shedding programme issued by the Department of Electricity, there will be load shedding from midnight to 5 am daily throughout the State.

From 5 am to 5 pm, there will be load shedding for 8 hours daily on all 11 KV feeders throughout the State.

There will be load shedding from 5 pm to 10 pm and 10 pm to 12 pm on alternate days on all 11 KV feeders throughout the State.

A press release issued by the by SE (Transmission Circle) of Electricity Department informed that the new load shedding pattern has been enforced with effect from December 1.The load shedding programme has been effected following reduction in generation of power in Central Sector Hydel Generating Stations of North Eastern Region which has resulted in reduction of the State's share/entitlement from these generation stations, it added.
