Imphal, March 08 2017: Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Manipur has appealed to the people to bear with some inconveniences regarding water supply.

A press release issued by the Executive Engineer, PHED Manipur, stated that the 150 horsepower turbine pump of Porompat water treatment plant at Iril river malfunctioned on February 28, at around 2 am due to which the areas under Porompat water supply did not receive water till March 6 .

A temporary 120 horsepower centrifugal pump is installed for the time being to supply water , it added and appealed the people to bear the inconveniences until the problem is fixed.
