Dr RK Ranjan inaugurates Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Multi-Utility Youth Centre

Bishnupur, January 07 2022: Union Minister of State, External Affairs and Education, Dr RK Ranjan on Friday inaugurated the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Multi-Utility Youth Centre at YICCL ground in Keibul Lamjao, Bishnupur district.

The inaugural function was attended by MoS, Dr RK Ranjan; MDS Manipur chairman, M Asnikumar Singh; Project Director, MDS, Robertson Asem and YICCL president, H Nongthon Singh as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr RK Ranjan stated that the youth centre was constructed by Manipur Development Society to honour the contributions made by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay towards the upliftment of society.

Dr RK Ranjan assured the gathering that a Handicraft & Handloom Centre would also be constructed in Keibul under MDS.

He also advised the Handloom and Handicraft Society to provide souvenirs/mementos to tourists to promote tourism in the area.

The MoS further urged the club to work diligently in order to provide the benefits to the people and bring change in the society.

M Asnikumar stated that the centre would provide a number of services including gym and computer facilities to the public while assuring to provide all possible assistance in the future.

The chairman further announced that he would strive to construct similar centres in other parts of the district.
