Senapati, February 06 2016 : An interaction program for career counselling was conducted today as part of the Induction Training Course for National Youth Corps volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Imphal zone at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hengbung, Sadar Hills, Senapati, our correspondent reports.

Organized with the assistance and cooperation of Major MS Gulati, Post Commander, 35 Assam Rifles, Hengbung, the interaction program with the NYK volunteers was held to provide career counselling for joining the Indian Army.

Delivering a lecture on the recruitment in Army and on career counselling, Maj MS Gulati said AR has been making tireless effort to acquaint youth with the several avenues for joining Indian Army/Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Senapati Brigade.

The volunteers were assured that the Maram Battalion would provide all possible assistance to help prepare the volunteers join the armed force and were guided with many useful tips for the same during the program.

Display of weapons and equipment marked the occasion.

Around 45 volunteers and officials of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Ministry of Youth affairs and Sports, Govern- ment of India participated in the career counselling program.
