Imphal, November 05 2016: Members of All Manipur Fire Service Candidates and Guardians Association today took out a protest demonstration outside the gate of Manipur Fire Service demanding immediate announcement of recruitment result. One of the members Ningthoujam Rahul said that notification to recruit 126 posts of firemen, drivers, mechanics and sweepers was issued on November 2014 .

More than one thousand candidates had applied afterwhich viva-voce was also conducted.

However, the result was kept on hold due to the reported vacant post of the Director.

The authority concerned had assured to declare the result soon after the new assigned Director takes charge.

Unfortunately, the result is yet to be declared till date, he added.

Protesters stated that the result should be declared within November 15 and viva voce for Thoubal district should be conducted at the earliest.
