MLA Meghachandra lays Foundation of MSME's wood based work-shed

Imphal, October 05 2020:
The foundation stone of Workshed for Wood Based Furniture under the Implementing Agency Progressive Rural Development Agency was laid by Keisham Meghachandra, MLA of Wangkhem AC at Yairipok Yambem Mathak Leikai , (Andro AC) of Imphal East District of Manipur .
The project is run under the Ministry of MSME, Govt.of India Under SFURTI Scheme ( Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries) scheme through the Nodal Agency - Process and Products Development Centre (PPDC), Agra.
K Meghachandra, addressed media and participants, present at the function, that graced the construction of cluster wood based furniture under the aegis of Progressive Rural Development Agency (PRDA) .

The Ministry has funded seven Clusters in Manipur for 2020, such as Kouna Processing Cluster, Pineapple processing and value added Cluster, wood based carving and Bamboo and Cane Processing.
The MSME sector has emerged as a dynamic sector of the Indian economy over the last five decades.
MSMEs contribute enormously to the socio-economic development of the country.
MSME has a large share of jobs, production and exports.
