Imphal, December 04 2015 :
Although some consumers have received five to eight refills from April till date, vast majority of the consumers of Khumbong Indane Gramin Vitrak still find it hard to get one refill even after waiting for two/three months.
The LPG distributor has issued nine refills each to nine consumers, eight refills each to 26 consumers, seven refills each to 75 consumers, six refills each to 30 and five refills each to 80 consumers.
On the other end of the spectrum, vast majority of the consumers have received only three refills at the most so far.
There are also many consumers who have received only one or two refill(s).
All the consumers who have been issued five to nine refills each have been given the corresponding subsidies through their respective bank accounts.
Among the consumers who have received eight to nine refills, some were issued LPG refills twice in a month while some others were issued refills for every consecutive month.
As such, all the authorities concerned need to probe how the distributor managed to issue LPG refills to some selected consumers more than once in a month and every consecutive month.
Laishram Babita (consumer no CX12074657) have been issued nine refills so far; two in July, one each in April, May, June, August, September, October and November.
Soibam Premjit (consumer no CX12076495) too have been issued nine refills; two in July and one each in April, May, June, August, September, October and November this year.
According to the rate fixed by the IOC, the price of an LPG cylinder of 14.2 Kg is Rs 1150 .
However the particular distributor has been charging Rs 2400 on registration of a new connection.
But on the blue book and the registration slip, it was written that two cylinders have been issued to the particular consumer although not a single cylinder was issued.
