Public alert rally held at Bishnupur and Moirang

Bishnupur, November 04 2019: A public alert torch rally demanding the release of the content of the peace talk agreement between GoI and NSCN (IM) under the aegis of COCOMI was held at Bishnupur and Moirang.

In support of COCOMI ongoing agitation, Khudekpi Youth Club with the support of the public organized the torch rally from Khudekpi and passed through Moirang Lamkhai and culminated at Terakhongshngbi after police personnel stopped them at Moirang Lamkhai.

The protesters used placards which read as "Lone Live Manipur", "Manipur cannot be disintegrated" etc, in the rally.

Similar rally was jointly organized at Naranseina and Thamnapokpi by the Meira paibis, women organizations, club etc.

The torch rally commenced from Naranseina but the protesters were made to return back after police personnel stopped them from further proceed near Moirang petrol pump.

The rallyists then marched towards Moirang DEIT and culminated at Naranseina.

Lumlangding Apunba Nupi Lup, Bishnupur Apunba Clubs, Lamlanghupi Chothe Village Ward No 2, Bishnupur Muslim Leikai Meira Paibi Lup and Bishnupur Muslim Youth Club jointly organized public alert torch rally in and around Bishnupur Municipal Council.

Placards which read as "We Demand Content of the Final Peace Talks", "Integrity of Manipur cannot be compromised" "Long Live Manipur", etc were used in the rally.
