Awareness programme on 'National SC/ST Hub' held at ADC, Senapati

Manipur Industrial Development Corporation Ltd (MANIDCO), Takyelpat, Imphal in association with Directorate of Trade, Commerce & Industries, Govt of Manipur and National Small Industries Corporation Ltd (NSIC) have organised a one day awareness programme on National Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe Hub in Manipur at ADC Conference Hall, Senapati, today.
The programme conducted under the sponsorship of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Govt of India was attended by Thaikho Peter, Executive Member (Education), ADC, Senapati as the chief guest; G Kamei, OSD, (MSME), Directorate of Trade, Commerce & Industries, Govt of Manipur as president and TN Singh, Asst Director, MSME-DI Imphal, Govt of India as the guest of honour.

Speaking at the event, Thaikho Peter said that the Hub was established in 2016 with an aim to support the entrepreneurs belonging to SC/ST categories.
He then urged all concerned who have interest in the field of entrepreneurship to consult with the officials of MSME department to begin their businesses.
Hijam Karuna, General Manager, DIC, Senapati in her speech encouraged the local entrepreneurs to continue their trades with patience to improve the socio-economic conditions of the State by providing jobs to unemployed individual.
The technical session of the programme continued with speeches from P Loken Singh, Chairman, MIDC on "Concept of Entrepreneurship, Creativity and problem solving," TN Singh on "MSME �Scheme for SC/ST and other entrepreneurs," Salle Pao, Dy Director, KVIC, Imphal on "Role of KVIC for development of new enterprise for SC/ST," Y Ragumani Singh, Consultant, MIDC on "Udyog Aadhar Memorandum filing," L Ibetombi Devi, Dy Manager, NSIC, Imphal Branch on "Role of NSIC for development of new enterprises for SC/ST" and G Ramkumar Sharma, SIDBI, Imphal on "Roles of SIDBI in Manipur".
More than 60 local entrepreneurs attended the programme.
