MPTC writes to 57 Mountain Div

Imphal, September 04 2024: The Manipur Police Training College (MPTC) has written to the 57th Mountain Division to send a team of instructors to train Manipur Police personnel in handling 7.62 mm MMG MK 2A1.According to the MPTC's letter, Manipur Police Department procured a few 7.62 mm MMG MK 2A1 machine guns from Ordnance Factory, Jabalpur but Manipur Police has no trained manpower to handle these machine guns.

Proposing a training schedule of 21 days starting from September 9, the MPTC said that accommodation for the training team from 57th Mountain Division has been arranged at MPTC, Pangei.

The letter further requested the 57th Mountain Division to see that a training team is made available at MPTC Pangei before September 7 .
