Imphal, August 04 2021: A total of 351 persons were vaccinated in a mass Covid vaccination drive held at the Rising Sun Club at Khongnangkhong, Thongju Part II today.

Out of the total 351 vaccinated, 65 persons were administered the first dose of Covid vaccine and 286 persons were administered the second dose.

Works Minister, Thongam Biswajit who is also the MLA of Thongju AC visited and inspected the mass vaccination drive and lauded the frontline workers and other voluntary workers who have been contributing selflessly in the mass Covid vaccination drives to protect the people from COVID-19 and to curb its further spread.

He also distributed snacks to all who came out for the vaccination and appealed all eligible persons to get vaccinated as it is one of the most important precautionary measures against COVID-19.Social Upliftment Club of Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal also organised a mass Covid vaccination programme today under the aegis of Imphal East District Vaccination Team.

Around 225 persons were inoculated with Covid vaccine in today's vaccination programme, said a press release by the club.

It may be noted that the club has organised similar vaccination programmes earlier.
