Sanitization drives continue

The United Youth Organisation (UTO) conducted a sanitization exercise by spraying sodium hypochlorite in and around the areas of Singjamei Bheigabati Leikai today.
Vice president of the organisation Kh Ratan expressed that the sanitization exercise was taken up because at this critical juncture, disinfecting surrounding areas to curb the spread of the virus is the need of the hour.
The organisation thanked the MLA of Yaiskul AC and Imphal Municipal Council Ward No 18 Co-operator for providing the sodium hypolchlorite used for sanitization today.
Kh Ratan also appealed everyone to strictly follow the COVID-19 SOPs issued by the Government to contain the spread of the virus.
Meanwhile, the youths of Sapam Laibung Leikai joined the sanitization drive at the houses neighbouring to the residence of Late Sapam Basanta, who was the first COVID-19 victim and other areas of the locality by spraying out Sodium Hypochlorite solution today.
The programme was held with the assistance of Wangjing Tentha AC MLA.
In Bishnupur district, the Moirang Assembly Youth Congress also organised a sanitization drive at localities across Moirang Assembly Constituency today.
