Imphal, May 03 2023: Former MLA TT Haokip visited Henglep Sub-Divisional Office yesterday and took stock of the damages caused by hailstorm recently.

The SDO office was damaged in the hailstorm that hit the sub-divisional Headquarters on the night of April 17 .

"Almost 70 percent of the roof" was blown away by the strong wind besides damaging some woodwork and cemented walls.

It may require a month's time repair and may cost around Rs 10 lakh, said the former MLA of Henglep Assembly Constituency.

Quoting Major Rajneesh Chand of 36 Assam Rifles posted at Henglep the former MLA said, neither Government officials nor the local MLA have visited the SDO office and assessed the damages.

Later, the former MLA also inspected the road construction work between S Khoilian and Henglep.
