Nupilan Memorial Association observes death anniversary of Ima Rajani

Imphal, February 03 2022: The 32nd death anniversary of Ima Rajani, one of the valiant women leaders during the Nupilal movement was observed today organised by the Nupilal Memorial Association Manipur at its office building at Tera Keithel.

The observation ceremony commenced by paying homage and floral tributes to the portrait of Ima Rajani.

During today's programme, certificates were also presented to Nupilan Drama artists.

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Organisation, Nupilal Memorial Association Manipur, Nongthombam Bina lauded the enormous contributions of Ema Rajani during the Nupilal Movement.

She further stressed on the importance of upholding the strong principle and high spirit of the valiant women leaders who spearheaded many major issues of the State in the past.

Stating that the Association has been demanding to authorities concerned to name the stretch of road from Sanjenthong to Keishampat Bridge as Nupilal Memorial Road, she expressed discontent that the same has not been actualised till date though the Chief Minister had promised to do the same during the State function of Nupilal held in 2019.She urged to all concerned to take up necessary steps to fulfil their demand as a mark of honour to the valiant women leaders of the State.
