Non-violent means is the answer : CM

Chief Minister N Biren Singh has categorically stated that the issue besetting the State should be resolved through non-violent and political means.
He made the statement at the National Cleanliness Day/Swachh Bharat Diwas, 2024 held at Gandhi Memorial Hall, here, today in line with the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
During the function, the Chief Minister led in offering floral tributes at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.
Ministers, MLAs and top ranking civil and police officials also attended the programme among others.
Speaking at the function, the Chief Minister continued that the Government has been putting in all efforts to secure the release of the two youths who have been captured by Kuki militants.
The Government is optimistic that the rescue effort will succeed, he added.
The Chief Minister also appealed to the public to take their part in keeping the State neat and clean.
He further asked the people to have faith in non-violence, which had always been advocated by Mahatma Gandhi.
Saying that every issue should be resolved through non-violent and political means, the CM sought support from the people to take the State to greater heights.
