Imphal, November 30 2013 : The TYCM has visited Takyel Observation Home to look into the welfare of the recently rescued children brought home from Grace Children home, Bangaluru which is run by one Shigamani Samuel.

A statement issued by TYCM said that most of the children are at the age group of 5 years to 15 years; 3 girls and 11 boys from Senapati, 8 boys and 3 girls from Ukhrul, 6 boys and 5 girls from Churachanpur district and 4 boys and 1 girl from Moirang Mangtak.

TYCM has apprised the matter to the concerned Minister, AK Mirabai, while interacting with her at Takyel on Nov 29 and appealed to view the matter seriously and initiate necessary actions to prevent it in the future.

TYCM also appealed for up gradation of Takyel Children observation home and establishment of Children Rehabilitation home in every district of Manipur to ensure proper rehabilitation.

The TYCM condemned the inhuman act in the strongest term while strongly urging the concerned authority and the entire stake holders to come forward to fight and eradicate such heinous crimes in the society.
