Imphal, July 31 2016: Distribution programme of the 10th Kh Itocha Memorial Award, 2016 organized by the Social Cultural Educational and Sports Development Organi sation, Heirok was held today at the auditorium of Shija Hospitals and Research Institute (SHRI), Health City, Imphal.

Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Economics and Statistics Minister M Okendro, Vice-Chairperson of Heirok Nagar Panchayat N Dilip, Chairman and Managing Director of SHRI Dr Kh Palin, medical superintendent of SHRI Dr Jugindro attended the programme as presidium members.

Altogether 22 students who have cleared the HSLC, HSSLC and CBSE exams and 13 MBBS students of Heirok Assembly Constituency were felicitated.

Okendro applauded the initiative taken up by Dr Palin and his family to award meritorious students and urged the guardians and parents to motivate the children in academic achievement.

Various educational institutes have also been set up to develop human resources.

Dr Palin stressed on developing human capital, discovering one self by having reconstructive thoughts and contribute in society building.

He also assured to encourage students by continuing to conduct the felicitation programme in future as well.
