Student assaulted :
A
student of Little Master Eng-
lish School, Samurou, Imphal
West was allegedly assaulted
by a group of boys today.
Hidam James, a class X
student of the school, from
Samurou Makha Leikai was
approaching the school's gate when he was dragged by his hand by a group of
boys to a nearby field at around 10 am.
There he was beaten severely.
Speaking to media persons about the incident this after-
noon, MSF working president Muktangamba Mangang while
claiming that two of the assailants have been identified, asked
all the assailants to come to the office of MSF by tomorrow.
"James is currently undergoing treatment at Raj Medicity.
Even though parents of James complained about the incident
to the school authority, the authority paid no attention.
Sub-
sequently, they approached MSF", Muktangamba said.
Out of around 20 students who were involved in assaulting
James, two have been identified as Soibam Amuchou alias
Abungchou and Kaku, and both of them belong to Samurou
Makha Leikai.
If the MSF's initiative is not responded positively, the
school authority and the assailants should be held responsible
for any untoward incident that may break out in the future, he
added.
