Imphal, December 31 2021:
Following their tradition of annually organising Kangleipakki Yelhoumee Kanba Numit, the same was organised today by Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) at Manipur Press Club.
Speaking on the occasion, IPAK president Kshetri-mayum Somorendro stated that the event was organised in honour of the members of FRIENDS whose lives were lost during the movement for implementation of ILP in 2005.Ksh Somorendro stressed on the negative impacts of non-natives moving into the State in huge numbers which pose a threat to the lifestyle and culture of the indigenous people.
He called for a law that will take stock of all non-natives entering the State as a measure to save the indigenous population of Manipur.
