Imphal, December 31 2013 : Having perused the case of five lady Sub Inspectors who joined the Manipur Police Department by furnishing fake documents of sports certificate, the State Vigilance Commission has not only recommended service termination of the five accused police personnel but also filed criminal charges against three of them.

According to a reliable source, the Commission investigating the said case concluded that sports certificates produced by three out of the five lady SIs during the 2010 recruitment exercise were fake documents while in the case of the remaining two the documents were said to be 'unrecognised certificates' .

The Commission reportedly recommended service termination and initiation of criminal cases against the former trio while in case of the latter duo the recommendation is for service termination.
