Lets promote 'One Nation, One People' : CM

Imphal, October 30 2024: Chief Minister N Biren Singh has called upon all to foster healthy relationships and unity to achieve the idea of "One Nation, One People" .

He made the appeal during flagging off a distance run titled- "Run for Unity" this morning from Chief Minister's Secretariat in line with the birth anniversary celebration of Sardar Vallabhai Patel which is observed as National Unity Day on October 31 .

May the birth anniversary celebration of Sardar Vallabhai Patel further promote love and unity among the people, he said.

Sardar Patel was a man of character who worked tirelessly towards National integration and making India a strong Nation.

His work earned him the nickname "Iron Man of India", he said.

A pledge to uphold unity was also taken during the flag off programme of the run that culminated at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.

Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Govindas also attended the flag-off programme.
