Health camps conducted at various places

The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, today organised a S wachhta Health Camp under the Swachhta Action Plan 2024-25 at Keisham Lairembi Community Hall, Keishampat Keisham Leikai, Imphal West.
A medical team including specialist doctors from various departments such as Eye, ENT, Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Paediatrics provided free consultations and medicines to about 133 patients during the camp, said a release issued by RIMS.
The health camp was aimed at providing healthcare service to internally displaced communities.
The initiative saw participation from RIMS doctors, staff and students, emphasizing on enhancing the health and well-being of underserved populations.
The health camp provided much-needed medical assistance, health screenings, and raised awareness about hygiene and sanitation, which are essential in displacement settings, where access to regular healthcare services is often limited.
The event concluded with positive feedback from participants, who expressed gratitude for the medical support and guidance provided.
RIMS, Imphal, reaffirmed its dedication to organising similar outreach programmes to improve public health and hygiene standards across the State.
Meanwhile, a comprehensive medical health checkup camp was organised at the premises of Sagolband Popular Upper Primary School on December 21.The heath camp was conducted in collaboration with the CMO, Medical Directorate, Imphal West, keeping in mind the health and wellbeing of the students.
Under the leadership of Rajkumari Umadini Devi, Headmistress of Sagolband Popular Upper Primary School and with dedicated efforts of teachers and staff, the event was executed with great enthusiasm and success, said a release.
The camp aimed to identify and address any health concerns among the students, thereby ensuring that every child receives proper medical attention and guidance for their overall development.
The event witnessed active participation from medical professionals who conducted general health screenings and provided valuable health education to the students.
Parents and guardians were also briefed about the importance of regul ar health checkups and maintaining a healthy lifestyle for their children.
Bright Way Club, Lamdong Leikai under the aegis of AMUCO organised a 1 -Day Free MediCal Camp at its premises on December 21 .
The camp was conducted in the memory of Late Laishram Adore, father of Dr Laishram Ranbir.
During the camp, free health examination/ consultation along with medicines were provided to about 75 children.
