One day training programme held

Kakching, October 29 2017: Iramdam United Food Producer Cooperative Limited, Kakching, under the sponsorship of Manipur Small Farmers’ Agri-Business Consortium, Imphal, organised a one day training programme under the theme Mobilising Bio-Resource For Generate Income, at Library and Information Centre, at Phoushupat, Kakching, today .

Additional Director, Department of Agriculture, Mohendro Khaidem, Chairman, Iramdam United Food Producer Cooperative Limited, Yengkhom Rajendro and Branch Manager, SBI, Kakching Branch, Mayanglambam Nimai attended the first phase of the programme as presidium members.

Speaking at the event, Mohendro Khaidem said that the farmers should work together to solve the problems plaguing the agriculture business and added that a united workforce will lead to better results.

At the first session of the training programme, L Jibit, Assistant AO, Horticulture Department, spoke on the topic of ‘Post Harvest Management Of Horticulture Crops’ while Dr S Jesamrani, Subject Matter Specialist (Veterinary) KVK, Thoubal spoke on ‘Scientific Piggery Management’.In the second training session, K Lembisana, Subject Matter Specialist KVK, Thoubal, spoke on ‘Value Addition Of Locally Available Fruits And Vegetables’, Y Nanda spoke on methods of cultivating U morok or king chilly, Dr S Jesamrani on Integrated Fish Cum Live Stock Farming, Ksh Nabakishore, AO, Horticulture on Role Of Cash Crop/ Commercial Crops In Enhancing Farmers’ Income and Mayanglambam Nimai on Effective Utilisation of KCC For The Welfare Of Farming Communities.
