Ukhrul, October 29 2015: Following the October 20 Tangkhul Naga Long declaration, a high level meeting of Tangkhul frontal organizations chaired by TNL president Weapon Zimik was held at his office today.

The meeting resolved to form an Action Committee with representatives from all Tangkhul frontal organizations namely Tangkhul Shanao Long (TSL), Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS), TNWL including four zonal chairmen of Ukhrul district with the TNL president as convenor of the Action Committee.

According to a statement, the Action Committee will implement and enforce the October 20 TNL assembly declaration especially with regard to the expulsion of Tangkhul MLAs Preshow Shimray and Victor Keishing.

Their activities in Tangkhul areas have been debarred indefinitely, on the ground that they failed to honour the public demand to resign.

The Action Committee will implement the declaration and prohibit the two from visiting Tangkhul territory anymore, it was decided.

Further the Action Committee also cautioned and informed the Tangkhul community not to invite the two sitting Congress MLAs for any function/occasion within and outside the Tangkhul territory.

If any individual or organisation fail to adhere with the strictures laid down, they will be held responsible for any eventuality, it was decided.

The TNL president along with the executive members were also endorsed to meet NPF MLA Samuel Risom at the earliest, to prove and authenticate his resignation before the 15 day deadline ends.

According to the norms of resignation, it should be hand written and personally submitted to the Speaker of the Assembly.
