Cattle disease in Langol and Langol Khunou villages

The Maring Students' Union (MSU) has drawn the attention of the Government department concerned to immediately look into the matter of the reported outbreak of an unknown cattle disease that has claimed around 60 cows so far since the last few days in Langol village area of Chandel district.
A statement issued by the care-taker of MSU, Khulpu Modarlung said around 60 cattle heads have died of a disease in Langol and Langol Khunou villages under Machi Block of Chandel district.
The cattles are said to have died of a disease characterised by swollen skin, diarrhoea, fever and severing.
It stated that many farmers who depend on their cattle for ploughing at this time fear that it would affect their agiculture work while cautioning that the disease could spread to other areas if no preventive measure is taken.
