BJP ADC Members stage walk

Senapati, May 27 2016 : Expressing discontentment and resentment over the functioning of ADC Senapati, BJP ADC members of the district today staged a walk out during the 4th sitting of the ADC house, our correspondent reports.

"BJP members of Senapati ADC feel that the house has not been run in a dignified manner as it ought to be�The Senapati ADC is ruled and dominated by NPF members," BJP, Senapati leader Th Thaikho Peter, has alleged.

Senapati ADC has 15 NPF members, 8 BJP members and one INC member.

Some members of the ADC were not intimated for the sitting while some were told before 30 plus hours when the notice for the sitting should have been served 15 days prior to give ample time to the members for preparation for such an important sitting.

Moreover, Thaiko has alleged, the agenda put up by BJP members at the sitting were not entertained.

The issue of irregularities of ADC staff has not been clarified till date.

BJP members have clarified through media that they are not involved in the scandal but the public seem doubtful of the accountability and transparency of the affairs of the ADC.

The BJP leader also alleged that the budget session of the house was held without the BJP members.

"There is no transparency in the allocation of funds in the respective District Council Constituency (DCC) which tantamount to discrimination of other ADC members and more importantly the public of the respective DCC," he said.
