Imphal, March 26 2017:
Manipur Naga Revolutionary Front (MNRF) has appealed to all the Naga revolutionary parties of Manipur to unite in order to make the State a safer nation for the people of all the communities.
Alleging both the Centre and NSCN-IM general secretary Th Muivah of misleading the Naga people of Manipur on the pretext of solving the Naga issue, MNRF said that NSCN-IM has been holding several rounds of talk with the Government of India for more than 20 years while the latter has failed to respond the core proposals made by the Naga organisation leaders.
The Centre is not sincere enough to resolve the issue and it is unfortunate that the Nagas of Manipur have failed to understand the statements of Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
PM Modi and Home Minister Rajnath have claimed that the solution to Naga Peace Talk will not disturb any neighbouring State of the North East region.
The statement itself showed that solution to Naga issue will bring requisite changes only in Nagaland State while the blood and sweat contributed for the cause of Naga issue by Manipur Nagas will go in vain, MNRF said in a statement.
Th Muivah, too, has failed to understand the hypocritical attitude of the Indian leaders, the statement said.
All the Naga revolutionary parties of Manipur need to unite so as to make Manipur a strong and safer nation for people belonging to various communities, MNRF said.
