Thoubal, November 25 2016:
Chief Minister today inaugurated a newly constructed industrial estate at Kuraopokpi, Thoubal district, reports our correspondent.
Speaking at the inauguration function, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh said that the employees employed in public undertakings will never become successful if he or she thinks of only getting salaries.
The best examples are MSRTC and Imphal Hotel.
The State Government has invested huge amount of money for the smooth functioning of these initiatives.
However, they failed to serve its purposes.
In the case of private undertakings, people who own the firms invest their own money and work relentlessly towards development, he added.
The State Government cannot provide Government job to each and every unemployed youth of the State.
That is why the industrial estate is being constructed under the Manipur Start-Up Plan to provide employment opportunities to the entrepreneurs.
Through this, an entrepreneur can start his or her business and generate sustainable income which will not only benefit the individual but also contribute to the economic growth of the State.
Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam, who was attended the programme, said that the State Government under Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has undertaken various development works in the State.
Youth should participate more to showcase their talents and grasp all the available opportunities the present advancing world has to offer.
Now is not the time to debate on petty things, it is the time to work towards developing our State and youth should take an active role, the Deputy Chief Minister said.
