Imphal, December 24, 2013: Taking strong exception to the Sishu Nistha Niketan (SNN) authority's notification that students not registered with the school transport vehicles would not be allowed re-admission in the school for the academic session 2014-15, the Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MCPCR) has asked the school authority to withdraw the same notice within eight days.

Acting on a complaint filed by some guardians, the commission heard both parties on December 18.Then the commission recommended the school authority to withdraw the same notice by December 30. SNN Parents and Guardians Association president M Shyamcharan said that the school Principal sent letters to them through students on September 24 this year informing that students not registered with the school's transport vehicles would not be allowed re-admission in the next academic session (2014-15).It further said that students would be allowed re-admission in case they got registered with school transport vehicles by submitting an application and paying a fine of Rs 1500 each by October 5, 2013.
