Imphal, April 24 2019:
Drawing immediate attention of the State Government and appealing immediate intervention to take up necessary measures for the accident-prone highway near LMS Law College, Kabow Leikai Women's Society, Meira Paibis, MBC compound residents, and MBC Shopping Complex Committee members staged a sit in protest at the college today.

It may be noted that the road around Dewlahland junction between Tangkhul Church and Law College has become a killing zone owing to frequent number of road mishaps leading to loss of many young lives.
The protesters appealed to the department concerned to take up necessary measures and introduce stricter norms like speed limit, more zebra crossings, putting visible and enhanced boards for those driving at night etc.
It further appealed to the public to obey traffic rules, take extra caution and be mindful of such accident-prone areas while driving.
