Remembering Operation Bluebird DBC Maram holds silent procession

Imphal, April 23 2017:
BSW Department of Don Bosco College, Maram took out a silent procession along with the villagers of Oinam Hill village, Senapati district in honour of Operation Blue Bird.
The silent procession was taken out till the martyrs' tomb following which a tree plantation was conducted.
During the programme, resource persons recounted the terror of Operation Blue Bird 1987 and called upon the youth to spread the message of unity with the sacrifices of the brave martyrs of Oinam Hills village as the testimony.

Bijoy KR Bosumatary, Assistant Professor, Don Bosco College, Maram, acknowledged the villagers' cooperation.
It may be noted that students of BSW Department of Don Bosco College, Maram under the supervision of Assistant Prof Bijoy KR Bosumatary have been conducting social service in Oinam Hill village and other surrounding villages from the past few days.
The first Children Parliament in Senapati district was also organised in Oinam Hill village by Assistant Prof Bijoy KR Bosumatary few days back.
