June Uprising observance Committee formed

Imphal, May 21 2012: Along with the constitution of 11th Observation Committee of The Great June Uprising Day, 2012, Y Nabachandra, President of UCM; Kh Chandramani, VP of UCM; and Joychandra Konthoujam, general secretary of UCM have been unanimously appointed as the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Convenor of the committee.

According to a statement of the UCM, convenors and co-convenors for 11 other sub-committees for the observance programme have also been appointed during a meeting of UCM and its component, subsidiary organisations, units and various individuals held today at the UCM office, Lamphel.

Meanwhile, it also appealed all concerned to extend cooperation towards the success of the observance programme through cash and kinds contribution.

Further, the statement informed that a meeting of the UCM units would be held on May 25 at 11 at the UCM office while also informing all units' representatives to attend the meeting on time.
